Muslim Welfare Canada’s Food Banks have been a beacon of hope since 1993, addressing the pressing issue of food insecurity faced by over 850,000 Canadians monthly.
Initiated by visionary founders, the first MWC food bank marked a significant community milestone. Over 28 years, their impact has magnified, expanding to serve thousands across four cities: Mississauga, Scarborough, Inuvik, and Iqaluit.
Beyond providing essential perishable and non-perishable food items, they offer household essentials, clothing, footwear, and winter gear.
This year, a testament to their indispensable role, they welcomed over 35,000 visits.
